Token Makers Structure: the 3 Guild Ranks
Explaining the structure of the newsletter and the three guild ranks: apprentice, journeyman and master
Welcome to Token Makers! In this article, I will be explaining how I plan to organize the upcoming articles.
Because the readers will have different experience levels in the field, some articles will be harder to understand than others, or just irrelevant. For that reason, I will structure them in terms of the Token Makers Guild ranks.
Introducing the Token Makers Guild
The Guild has 3 ranks: apprentice, journeyman and master. I consider each rank as such:
Apprentice
The apprentice is a developer who would like to enter the crypto space, but for understandable reasons, they are not fully there yet. They typically have a day job in web2 and study web3 during the night. They hope that someday they get to turn their situation the other way around, but it’s not as easy as it seems for various reasons. Don’t let the name of apprentice fool you though! They might be masters in other fields! ;)
If you identify with the apprentice, I would like to give you a warm welcome to the Guild! I hope you find it useful - and please let me know if there is any particular topic that you’d find helpful!
Journeyman
The journeyman most likely already has a day-to-day job in the crypto world. Chances are they work for a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), speak the web3 jargon and most likely wrote a few smart contracts (or are at least very familiar with them). Although the nature of the work has its ups and downs, they keep building even during bear markets and keep an eye on the latest tools, technologies and protocols.
To cater to this group, I will do my best to cover how protocols work, new web3 tools and how to use them, in addition to news coverage in the space.
Master
A description for the Master Token Maker is not very necessary, because if you are one, you know it. Masters of the web3 world most likely write their own articles and influence the field on crypto Twitter. They have a broad view of what’s moving the space, lead or have a strong influence in DAOs and push the boundaries of web3.
If you are one of them, I’d like you to let me know what has drawn you to the newsletter and what you’d like to see! To cater to Masters, I’ll take a humble attempt at describing more complex concepts and outlining technologies that you probably know of but haven’t found articles that write about them in detail.
Conclusion
Now that the guild ranks have been outlined, I will be pre-pending the subtitle of each article with the given rank to tell you who it is intended towards. If an article is meant to be for everyone, I will specify it as such too.
That’s it for now and thank you for reading! If you know someone who’d benefit from joining the Token Makers Guild and the Forge, click the button below.
